Feedback Loops
If you’ve watched a live YouTube stream, you may have seen this happen:
“Okay, we’re live. I think we’re live. Are we live? I think we’re live.”
“Oh, I think we may have already been live.”
“Okay, can anyone hear us? Can someone tell us if you can hear us? Are we delayed? Are you seeing any lipsync issues?”
And this may continue, or it may crop up again if there are dropped frames, if audio fails, if there are any glitches, etc etc etc.
Why, this many years in to the mobile device revolution (now more evolution, at least lately), are we left wondering so often what is going on?
Our technology can do better on our behalf, we should seek that out and perhaps demand it.
